Prudential Tower December 2017

I’m sure you are all busy washing your teal shirts and socks and screwing in teal lightbulbs so I’ll be brief. I hope you are all having an amazing week to far. There are so many things you can do in your neighborhood to spread allergy awareness. I’ve seen many list out already so I won’t reinvent the wheel.

I do want to take a minute to say a few FAAW18 words though. First off, thank you all. Without you, we wouldn’t get the information of places to contact. Since we can only be in one place at a time, we need your input to reach out to sites. I have said this before too, we absolutely investigate every single suggestion made to us. We appreciate you talking the time to email us and do try and make all the lighting suggestions we receive happen.

I have had people ask me why we list some seemingly “small” buildings.  The fact is this, NO lighting, no amount of awareness, no building or monument is too small.  Each and every one it a beacon to people. To ask questions. To start conversations. We know we are not the educators or researchers in the field. We absolutely know our role in the allergy community. We are here to be the starting point for much bigger conversations.

We also hope that families can get out to enjoy the lightings. We want our kids to know someone is out there trying to do something. We want those with allergies to know we are thinking of them and there are people out here who care.

For the full and up to the minute lighting schedule please see this link. Also note that there are times lightings do not happen for many reasons though every effort is made to make them happen. We do not have control of them.  Thank you for your understanding.

We would love to hear what you are up to this week. Feel free to comment. Also, if you would like to share pictures from lightings, please send them to info @ turnitteal.org (no spaces).
